By accessing or using GrantsFinder ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Platform.

2. Description of Service

GrantsFinder is an AI-powered platform that helps users discover European Union funding opportunities by matching project descriptions with relevant grant calls. Our service includes:

AI-powered grant matching
Simplified grant summaries
Access to EU funding programme information
Search history and saved results

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Platform, you must:

Create an account with accurate information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Be at least 18 years old or have parental consent
Not share your account with others

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. Credits and Payments

4.1 Credit System

Our Platform uses a credit system. Each grant search consumes one credit. New users receive 10 free credits upon registration.

4.2 Purchases

Additional credits can be purchased through our billing page. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

4.3 Refunds

Credits are non-refundable once used. For unused credits, refund requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of purchase.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the Platform
Submit false or misleading information
Interfere with the Platform's operation
Use automated tools to access the Platform without permission
Resell or redistribute the Platform's services

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our Content

The Platform, including its design, features, and content, is owned by Build Up Labs and protected by intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your Content

You retain ownership of the project descriptions and information you submit. By using the Platform, you grant us a license to process this information to provide our services.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding:

The accuracy of grant matching results
The completeness of EU funding information
The success of any grant applications
Uninterrupted or error-free service

Grant matching results are recommendations only. Users should verify all information with official EU sources before applying.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Build Up Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to:

Failed grant applications
Missed funding opportunities
Loss of data or business interruption

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Build Up Labs and its affiliates from any claims arising from your use of the Platform or violation of these Terms.

10. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Platform at any time. We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes.

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms. Upon termination:

Your access to the Platform will be revoked
Unused credits may be forfeited
You may request export of your data within 30 days of termination

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal and the European Union. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lisbon, Portugal.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
